e-Zinc Inc. Multi-year Accessibility Plan

Purpose & Statement of Organizational Commitment

At e-Zinc, we are committed to driving the global transition to a sustainable energy future, and concurrently strive to meet the needs of our employees, partners and customers. e-Zinc is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities.

We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and meeting our accessibility requirements under local applicable legislation. In Ontario, this includes the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).

e-Zinc is also committed to meeting its current and ongoing obligations under all applicable Human Rights legislation or obligations under any law respecting non-discrimination and creating an inclusive environment. Supported by our Accessibility Policy, this Accessibility Plan outlines the steps we are taking to meet those requirements and to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.

Training
e-Zinc will ensure that timely training is provided to all necessary people to meet requirements under the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulations (IASR) in the AODA and the Human Rights Code (HRC), as well as any other applicable legislation. We will maintain records of such training.

Information and Communication
e-Zinc is committed to communicating with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability through the following actions:

  • Accessible Formats: e-Zinc will provide information and communication about our products and services to those with disabilities using appropriate accessible formats upon request, engaging with the person to determine the appropriate format.
  • Feedback: Upon request, e-Zinc will adjust formats for receiving and responding to feedback to those with disabilities.
  • Accessible Web Content: e-Zinc will ensure our new websites and content comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level, as required under AODA.
  • Specific Supports: e-Zinc will work with people with disabilities who use personal assistive devices when accessing our services or facilities.
  • Notice of Disruption: In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption that impact people with disabilities, e-Zinc will notify them promptly.

e-Zinc is committed to fair and accessible employment practices and will make accommodations available when requested by an employee.

  • Recruitment: At e-Zinc, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer where we consider, celebrate, and embrace diversity. We thrive in an environment of mutual respect and welcome all applicants. Accommodations will be provided as requested by candidates at any stage of the hiring process. • Policies & Employment Information: e-Zinc will ensure that employees are informed about our policies (and any updates to such policies) to support employees with disabilities. For employees with disabilities, we will work with each person to provide information in an accessible format that is suitable to them.
  • Accommodation Plans: Upon request, e-Zinc is committed to developing and updating as required individual accommodation plans and return-to-work plans for employees absent due to a disability.
