Dr. David B. Harvey,Ph.D.
Chief Technical Officer
Dr. David Harvey is an accomplished technology leader with over 20 years of experience advancing electrochemical energy systems from fundamental research through to commercial deployment. At e-Zinc, David leads the technology and product teams, overseeing the development, validation, and scale-up of the company’s zinc-based long-duration energy storage systems. His leadership is instrumental as e-Zinc executes its upcoming commercial pilots and advances toward full market readiness.
Prior to joining e-Zinc, David served as Chief Technology Officer at AFC Energy, where he directed the development, scale-up, and deployment of AFC Energy’s H-Power fuel cell generators. He previously held leadership roles at FCP Fuel Cell Powertrain GmbH, Axine Water Technologies, and Ballard Power Systems, where he helped scale hydrogen technologies for automotive and stationary applications. David holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, along with a B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, and brings a proven track record of building and commercializing breakthrough clean technologies.
